Messages from the Chairman and President

Toshio Yamamoto, President Since our founding in 1910, Fukada Salvage & Marine Works has had a single-minded focus on the sea. Throughout our history, we have successfully accomplished numerous difficult salvages and increased our significance by participating in a myriad of pioneering national projects in the fields of large scale offshore engineering and ocean development. Examples include construction of the Honshu-Shikoku Bridges and other long-length bridges and undersea tunnels; research, development, and testing of subsea oil production systems, and experimental collection of subsea manganese nodules.

While the Japanese economy is stagnant right now, with fewer public works projects, less investment in private capital, and an otherwise difficult business climate in the industries we deal with, we are by no means pausing. We will utilize our accumulated experience, cultivated technological prowess, and our specialized fleet of work vessels (including Japan's largest class crane barge, the Musashi) and push forward as one to provide our customers with high quality service. We are empowering our facilities and introducing new ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles) and AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) that can withstand deep sea environments of 3,000 meters in order to be actively involved in the vision for Japan's future: deep sea exploration and marine resource development projects. We will use this equipment to give our customers results and strive to contribute to improving the industry.

Fukada Salvage & Marine Works – working tirelessly to continue to live up to society's expectations and maintain your trust. We look forward to serving all your maritime needs.
